| 1CR | John 1:1-3,14 |
Who Was the Creator of the heavens and the earth? All things were Created by Jesus Christ, the Son of God. God the Father and the Holy Spirit (Gen 1:2) were present at creation (let us make man in our image, v.26), but it is important to acknowledge the Son, before He became man, as Creator. See also Col 1:15,16 |
| 2CR | Gen 1:1-5 |
What did God create on the first day? |
| 3CR | Gen 1:6-31 |
What did God create on
days two through six? How long did it take God to create everything? |
| 4CR | Gen 2:2,3 |
What did God do on the
seventh day? God did not rest because he was tired but he rested in his finished work, much like an artist rests when he puts down his brush and enjoys the work he has created. |
| 5CR | Psalms 33:6,9 |
How did the Psalmist view
the time it took for Creation? He spoke and commanded and it happened. Instantly. |
| 6CR | 1Tim 6:20,21 | The Bible warns against false science, such as evolution. |
| 7CR | Job 12:7 | Many things in nature contradict evolution, but nothing about earth or nature contradicts the creation story. |
| 8CR | 2Peter 3:3-7 | Many deliberately forget the flood and creation stories because they realize that if God destroyed the world by flood He will again destroy it by fire. He destroyed the ungodly, those who disobey Him. If we accept Him as Our Creator, we have an obligation to obey Him. |
| 9CR | Rom 1:18-32 | We are seeing the results of the denial of God as Creator in our society today. |
| 10CR | Rev 14:6,7 | God has an answer to evolution. Every nation and person will have an invitation to worship God, the creator of the heavens and the earth, before the end. |
|
--Notice the Spiritual parallels between creation and salvation. The earth was without from and void and darkness covered the face of the deep. Then God's Spirit moved over the waters and after he first created light, he daily brought order and beauty from the chaos. |
||
|
--Likewise, we are born in the darkness of sin, but as the light of Jesus pierces through the darkness, through the power of the Creator, we are born again. From the waters of baptism, God gradually brings order out of chaos in our own lives as we daily strive to grow more and more into the image of God, our Creator and Saviour. |
