1WL 1 John 5:13 Have you come to the place in your spiritual life where if you were to die right now you would know for certain that you would have eternal life? Suppose that you were to die tonight and when you meet God, if He were to ask, "Why should you have eternal life in Heaven?" What would you say? We can have the assurance of eternal Life in heaven.
2WL Eph. 2:8,9 Eternal Life is a free gift. We can't earn it by obedience.
3WL Rom. 3:23 All have sinned
4WL Rom. 6:23 We all deserve to die.
5WL John 3:16 God doesn’t want us to die. He wants everyone to live. So He sent His son to save us.
6WL John 1:1, 14 Jesus was really God, who became man for us.
7WL Rom. 3:25 He presented Jesus to be a sacrifice for us to die in our place so he can save us and still be a just God.
8WL 2 Cor 5:21 What really happened on the cross?
Jesus was made to be sin for us. So that when he died, he was actually guilty for our sins. He didn't ever sin, but God took our guilt from us and placed it on Christ. Then God gives us the perfect life that Christ lived. This is our fitness for heaven. If we receive the free gift of Christ's perfect life and the forgiveness for our sins, we can know that we have life.

5:11, 12		 How can we know that He really did this for me?
All we need to do is invite Jesus into our lives, and if we have Jesus, we have Eternal Life.
10WL Matt. 7:21 Asking Jesus into your life is more that simply saying the words. We must invite him in as Lord and Master as well as Savior. We must be willing to be obedient to him. Not that our obedience saves us but when he saves us he gives us a new life and a new desire to be in harmony with God's ways of love.
11WL 2 Cor 5:17 We become a new person.
12WL 1 John 1:9 He forgives our sins.
13WL 1 John 3:1 We become sons and daughters of God.
