| 2CL | Lev 16:4 | On the day of atonement, the high priest removed the decorated garment and replaced it with the simple linen one. This simplicity of dress symbolized the attitude of Christ and the purity of life. We are now living in the day of Atonement. How then should we dress. |

Jewelry symbolizes the blessings God wants to give to Israel. Jewelry in itself is not evil. God created jewels. He will give us a crown of jewels in the new earth. But until then it is not appropriate for us to dress ourselves with jewelry. We are to wait until he gives it to us. |
